With coronavirus making its presence felt all over the world, the best way to dodge it is to stay at home. Social distancing is the recommended way to break the chain and with good reason. The less you are exposed to the virus, the less you are bound to catch it and the less you will pass it on. Quite simple!

And since coronavirus is making everyone stay at home, we’re sure everyone has one question on their minds: what will do with all this time? Plus, being confined in your home with all those mad and maddening family members can be a trial in itself, right? Instead of getting your boxing gloves out, why not use this forced break from the outside world in a constructive way? Allow us to set the ball rolling with some ideas.

Try a different recipe for dinner

    Is there something French, Italian, or Thai you have always wanted to try? Or maybe you wanted to try one of those designer desserts you’ve been seeing everywhere. While juggling work and home may not have left you with much time to try something exotic, now may be a good time to try them.

          Paint old plastic or glass bottles to create décor items

            When you are living a busy life, old bottles just go to trash cans. But when you have all the time in the world to kill…different story! You can turn old bottles and bowls into décor items that you can use at home, on your porch, as hanging lamps, as planters…the possibilities are limitless.                     You know that dresser that’s looking a bit faded or that door that’s got those scratches that is always making you uncomfortable?                         If you think crocheting is for grandmas, think again. Home décor has gone to a place where you can purchase crocheted cushion covers for a farmhouse/country décor look.                                   Use old plastic bags to create a bag

                                    Yes, it’s plastic again, but it is a stronger plastic that will last longer and look great. It can slow down the number of plastic bags that are landing up in oceans and in landfills. And let’s face it: they are made from plastic bags that you already have sitting around the house. Honestly, we were floored by this guy’s creativity and also impressed with his experimenting.

                                        Got all these brown paper bags from groceries and stuff? The usual plan may have been to throw them away.
